My practice is concerned with working from memories and dreams, especially from my childhood. My research at Valentine's Mansion evoked memories of when my family renovated a Victorian house when I was a child, and this is further influenced by my love of architecture.
This piece therefore explores the (south) façade of Valentine's Mansion, using layers to reveal elements of the architecture from the 1700's to the present day following the recent renovation. The images of the past are ghostly evocations of a by-gone era, building up into a sharp picture of the present.
